Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has said that he is confident that the German club can finally put behind the disappointment of the last two seasons to finally achieve success this time around. Bayern Munich have had two disastrous seasons both in the league and in the European competitions.

While they have been unable to claim the league title for two consecutive seasons, they have been defeated in the final of the Champions League twice in the last three seasons. Arjen Robben was hoping to win more trophies with the German club when he arrived from Real Madrid for £ 24 million.

“Hopefully, this will help us get more trophies this season. It was important for us to set an example today. We are on the right track as a team,” said Arjen Robben after the 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup. This was one of the first victories for the club against Borussia Dortmund in the last five seasons. Arjen Robben has said that he hopes that this will finally bring an end to the dominance Borussia Dortmund have had over them in the last five seasons. The club captain Philipp Lahm has said that he is extremely happy with the performance of the players.
